The brief

Inspire Audio Visual was brought on board at the early design stage alongside developer London Projects, interior designer Hesellic Design and architect Maxwell and Company.

The brief was to design and install a complete entertainment, lighting and control system that would work invisibly within a high-specification interior, while remaining the client’s long-term technology partner for ongoing support.

The challenges

A property of this scale and complexity required close coordination with multiple design and construction teams throughout an extended build programme.

The extensive reconstruction included the creation of a new lower-ground floor between the existing ground floor and deep basement. This meant every cable route, equipment location and control point had to be carefully planned from the architectural drawings, with no room for retrofit once construction progressed.

What we designed and installed

Lighting

Lutron DALI lighting control was installed throughout the property, chosen for its precise circuit management and high-quality dimming performance.

Given the client’s art collection, the lighting scheme required particular attention to colour rendering, flexibility and scene control across galleries, living spaces and circulation areas.

Cinema and media room

A dedicated media room was created around a 90-inch Sony 4K display and a 5.1 surround-sound system using Monitor Audio speakers.

Control4 scene control allows the room to move from everyday family use into cinema mode at the touch of a button.

Audio

Sixteen distributed audio zones cover every floor of the property, including the swimming-pool area and gym.

Music can follow the client throughout the house, with independent control in each room or synchronised whole-home playback through the Control4 interface.

Video distribution

An eight-zone WyreStorm matrix distribution system allows any connected source to be viewed on any television throughout the property.

This centralised approach reduces visible equipment within individual rooms while giving the client consistent access to entertainment across the house.

Networking

A commercial-grade wired and wireless network was installed to support the complete system.

Reliable network infrastructure was essential at this scale, providing the foundation for lighting control, streaming, video distribution, security and whole-home automation.

Control

A single Control4 platform manages the property’s lighting, audio, video, heating, swimming-pool systems and security.

The system remains supported and maintained by Inspire Audio Visual to this day.

We coordinated drawings, cable routes, equipment locations and control points with all three teams. It is the way we prefer to work, and the reason the finished technology remains invisible until it is needed.
