Cheshire Gaming Room — Home Cinema & Crestron Smart Home

A dedicated gaming and media room designed for a Premier League footballer’s family home in Cheshire. The brief was a self-contained space where three children could game online with no lag, watch films on a reference-quality screen, and enjoy a room that felt like their own — finished to a standard that matched the rest of the property.

The brief

The client had been with us for several years across their wider smart home. This project was a new addition: a purpose-built gaming room combining serious online gaming capability with a cinema-grade projector and screen, immersive audio, and a lighting scheme that matched the energy of the room.

What we designed and installed

The room was built around a Crestron smart home platform, integrating gaming, cinema and lighting into a single control system.

Dedicated Ethernet ports were installed for lag-free online gaming. A 4K Epson projector and 100-inch screen deliver reference-grade picture for both gaming and film. A 5.1 Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system handles audio, with in-ceiling speakers to keep the floor space clear. Digital LED pixel tape was specified for the walls, creating programmable colour scenes that shift the room’s mood from gaming to film night to ambient light.

The entire room is controlled via Crestron — one interface for display, audio, lighting and gaming sources.
