Wynyard Park Bespoke Home Cinema Installation

This Wynyard Park home cinema installation began with a simple brief: create a dedicated two-tier private cinema room capable of seating up to eight people, delivering the biggest and most immersive screen experience possible for both movie nights and live sport. With the room measuring 8 metres long, 5 metres wide and 3 metres high, we had the perfect canvas to design a truly high-performance home cinema with a dramatic, luxury aesthetic.

To achieve the output and clarity required for a room of this scale, we selected our long-standing audio partners Artcoustic, whose high-SPL loudspeakers are engineered specifically for premium home cinema environments. The system was designed as a 9.4.4 Dolby Atmos setup, delivering exceptional detail, powerful bass performance and seamless three-dimensional immersion from every seat in the room.

At the front of the cinema, we installed a 160-inch 16:9 acoustically transparent screen, paired with a 4K Sony laser projector. This combination provides razor-sharp images, superb brightness and the versatility needed for both cinematic films and fast-paced sports viewing. The two-tier seating layout ensures all eight seats enjoy a clear, unobstructed view of the huge screen, creating a true commercial-grade experience within the client’s home.

All lighting, AV equipment, audio distribution and room presets are controlled through a Control4 home automation system, allowing the family to start a movie, dim the lighting, or switch to live sport at the touch of a single button. Scene lighting, star-ceiling effects, and equipment automation are all pre-programmed for effortless use.

Every element of the project—from the audio calibration and lighting design to the seating layout, equipment installation and automation programming—was designed, managed and delivered in-house. This ensured the cinema system integrated seamlessly into the newly built home, performing exactly as intended from the first day it was switched on.
