The Wiswell Project – Incorporating Lighting design

This project centred on a new house build in a rural location just on the outskirts of Blackburn. The client was looking for a way of encapsulating modern living and incorporating this into a countryside setting. This including Home Automation, Home Audio Visual and Lighting Design.
Basement AV
The client requested a fully integrated system assimilating a Clipsal lighting system with a Control4 Home Automation system. Inspire AV enabled the customer to, at the touch of a button, control a multitude of functions such as multi-room audio and video distribution in a number of rooms across the whole house simultaneously. This discreet, inbuilt system also allows for functions to be managed and controlled remotely, enabling the home owner to pre-program or dial in to their system to, for example, illuminate the entrance of the house on arriving home on an evening.
A great bonus on this project was the fantastic relationship we nurtured with the client. This was coupled with the advantage of the keen interest in home automation the electrician had who completed the first fix. This always helps pave a smooth transition.
This project demonstrated the seamless integration between products and exemplified the wonders of multi-function technology in today’s modern home. Although it proved difficult to integrate LED Lighting technology into the Clipsal system we got there in the end with impressive results. We will miss visiting the site, as the rural setting was magnificent, but our poor van will be relieved that it doesn’t have to grapple with the treacherous journey, particularly on snowy days.
